Ben is a home church pastor, high school chaplain and gardener. He has a seven-seater Nissan SUV, which gets pretty noisy when his four little kids are packed in. He doesn’t drive it on the beach because it’s not that kind of SUV, but in the back of his mind he’d still kind of like to give it a go sometime, if he can figure out how to do it without his wife Tam finding out. Ben and Tam have been experimenting with their little home church for four years now, and it’s had many different setups. Nowadays it’s called a Big Year Crew, a group of people trying to help each other live out the way of Jesus in their everyday lives.
